PostBootCampSprint
One of the best-received parts of the TriZPUG bootcamp was that they had a mini-sprint afterwards.
A sprint is a group of people working together to solve a problem and learn more. Usually, they're ~1 week long, but the TriZPUG one was Sat and Sun after the bootcamp. About half the students came, about 5 people joined via IRC, and we all worked on building new features into PloneHelpCenter.
It's a great way to (a) test out your newfound skills, (b) learn some best practices, (c) learn how to use CVS and IRC and other Plone development tools, and (d) meet lots of the people in the Plonesphere.
- If people are interested, we could this after our bootcamp. It doesn't require much work in planning
- I can easily scare us up a small room we can work in over the weekend, and we don't even need a projector or anything. As we start to figure out who's interested in the bootcamp, we can try to gauge interest in this, too.

Sounds very useful. --Chris
I would be in --reed, Wed, 26 Jan 2005 00:20:20 -0600 reply
at least for Saturday. I have my son on Sundays. 13 Year olds don't dig sitting around in a room not being the center of attention.
I'd be interested --pwd, Thu, 04 May 2006 15:15:49 +0000 reply
I'd have to see how heavy my schoolwork load is that weekend, but I'd be interested in pitching in - at least by irc if nothing else.
