ZPUGDC Speaker Guidelines
ZPUGDC is the Python/Zope/Plone User Group in the Washington, DC Area. Speakers present Python related materials to an audience in the Washington, DC Area. Click here for meeting locations. Each month ZPUGDC issues a call for Speakers/Presentations/Mini- Sprints. Presentations can be short (15 minutes) or long (1-1.5 hours) format. The current schedule can be viewed here.
Proposals
Proposals should be emailed to info@zpugdc.org or posted on the zpugdc.org site and should include: An email address, a phone number, an outline of the presentation/talk or outline of purpose or goal for a Mini-Sprint.
Materials
Materials to be posted (txt, html, pdf, code samples/examples, etc...) on the ZPUGDC site after the date of presentation would be appreciated. Please feel free to create your own profile and post materials there. If you do submit post presentation materials to ZPUGDC, please include a short (two to three line) biography suitable for posting with the materials submitted.
Evaluation Policy
While ZPUGDC would like to take all presenters; this may not always be feasible. All presenters and related topics will generally be accepted but may be: declined if deemed "off topic" or may be deferred for a speaker with greater seniority regarding a suitable topic (i.e. committer to a major project) or requested to postpone or merge if it is closely related to another proposal topically and temporally.
Suggested Topics
Plone, Zope, using Python to solve network, web, text processing, etc issues. Discussions of the Python development process, new features, future features, testing, third party modules, OOP, and more.
