Hey,
I think that is an excellent idea, and I look forward to it. I know that the DC BarCamp organizers have had good luck with the local PR Agencies, because they have lots of space that's not in use on weekends and are always looking for people. Fleishman-Hillard put us up last time. You might want to get in touch with the people behind RefreshDC, which manages to get space for a hundred+ one a month -- lately they've been at APCO worldwide. Good luck, and let us know if ZPUGDC can help.

I'm beginning to plan a Python BarCamp, and would like to hold it in
the DC or Baltimore area. It would be a 2-day unconference, featuring
sprints on both days and a day of unscheduled costs, and having about
50 or so attendees. Please see
http://wiki.python.org/moin/PythonBarCamp/DC for more details.
The first task is to locate a suitable venue. To keep costs down, I'd
like to avoid having to pay for the venue and would like to find a
school, company, or other organization that could host the BarCamp.
Does anyone here have suggestions for a possible venue? Or contacts
at a possible hosting organization?
Thanks!
