[JOB] Part-time Plone / Python developer
Robert <robert.vix(at)gmail.com>
2006-02-28 06:41:41 [ FULL ]
Overview:
A small, very early stage start-up is looking for a Plone
developer to work part-time on an ongoing basis. You will be
developing Plone Products using the Archetypes framework. You will be
working to implement an architecture and UI designed by others, with
the opportunity to improve upon the designs.

The ideal candidate is someone wanting to do interesting development
with Plone for the experience and comparatively low pay. This is
probably a college student, but it could be an older person looking
for a challenge.

  Benefits:
Extreme flexibility in terms of schedule and work location,
Get paid to work on interesting Plone development.
Get paid to spend a portion of your time contributing to OSS / Plone.org
Get experience working with a small web software startup.

Required:
Experience developing with Plone, Python and the Zope Management Interface
    A great attitude
       - committed to doing quality work and to communicate with end users
    Play well with others

Will need to learn if you don't already know:
    ArchGenXML
    Javascript

"Nice to have" experience with the following that you will eventually be using
(i.e. - You probably don't have experience yet with one or all of
the below):
    Databases, specifically PostgreSQL
    LDAP
    CSS
    XML
    Subversion
    GedCom
    i18n:
    Linux
    OS X

Details:
Rate of pay: $15-$30/hour, depending upon experience
Hours: 4-8 per week, at your convenience
Work location: Yours, with the following limitation:
I find it important to meet face to face periodically. So I am
looking for people in the following geographic areas:
     Washington, DC
     Baltimore, MD
     Wilmington, DE
     Dover, DE
     Philadelphia, PA

NOTE: If you are a Plone uber-geek with experience in implementing
complex and robust Plone-based systems and are interested in being
involved; there's always room at the top, and everything's negotiable.

Please email robert.vix at gmail dot com with questions or for
more information.
