Somewhat the same here - I am looking for some of the features of 2.1 for
the next generation of apps I plan to develop for my customer - no promises
to them yet, but certainly interested in the timing of the release so I can
move things forward appropriately.
Thanks!
Paul

Hey all,
I am trying to get a sense for the new ETA for 2.1, as it appears that it
will not be released according to the published schedule. :)
I have couple of projects that I am delaying pending the 2.1 release and
need to set some expectations - do you think we are looking at days, weeks
or months?
Thanks for any insights!

2.1 is *nice*. I would suggest trying RC3, it's fairly stable. No word
yet on the final release, other than it may be only *days* away.
From IRC:
09:18 < MamaTux> Any eta on 2.1 final?
09:20 <(at)lurker> we'll let you know, MamaTux
09:24 < MamaTux> lurker: Well thanks - just wondering if it was a matter
of
days or weeks
09:25 <(at)lurker> days I hope MamaTux
The *coolest* feature has got to be the LiveSearch...

I had problems I couldn't overcome (yet) migrating a couple small
sites from 2.0.5 to 2.1-rc2. I'll try with RC3.

LiveSearch is sexy but I'm also enjoying the increased speed and stuff
conveniences like the sitemap.
Anyone know how other products could leverage the LiveSearch-like
feature? What I'd like, for example, is to have a field which the
user populates, like "Country". When they start typing into it, if
there is a possible completion it would be suggested so the user knows
its there, doesn't mistype, and gets to select it easily But if it's
not there, the user could type the name of the country. This way
common countries would be populated and provide the convenience of a
pull-down list, but with the flexibility to add names which pull-downs
do not offer.
Any pointers on how to use the AJAX-feature of LiveSearch for other
fields would be most appreciated.
Thanks.
PS: Sounds like we need a guru to give a chat to ZPUG on what's new in
2.1, how to use these groovy features, and how to avoid problems
migrating from older releases. :-)

Personally I'd like to use Bill's office in Georgetown, we fit about 10 people
there comfortably last time.
But I'll metro to Crystal City if need be, would probably be fun ;-)
I'll double check with Jason at PN again, but I'm pretty sure it's unavailable.
