Thanks to everyone who helped out! I think the camp went
very successfully.
Though the dust is probably still settling on the finances,
ZPUG should profit by some real amount of money here--probably
about $2000 or so. Bill should be able to report on this in
a few weeks.
Which means it's time to start thinking of cool things we
could do with this money: invite speakers from other places
and cover their travel expenses, offer free Python 101 courses
in the DC area, sponsor travel for ZPUGDC members speaking
at conferences, etc.
And, to answer a question I've received once or twice privately
in the past few days, yes, even though I'm moving a few thousand
miles away, I'll stay on the ZPUGDC mailing list, and, whenever
I'm coming to this coast, you'll be sure to hear from me about
it.
And, in all seriousness, if you find yourself in San Francisco,
let me know in advance, and I'd love to have you over for
dinner. Or, even better, come visit for a few days--we'll have
a guest room, and will be eager to show you the city--since
we're still tourists there, too! :)
