here's a question for you plone gurus. I've collected over a 100
comments through the Plone discussion feature for the site i'm
developing. Now, I want to turn off the capability and so make the
comments invisible. However, I still want to retain the comments
somehow so that they are only visible to managers. Right now I collect
them all in a topic. I'd like the ability to retain the topic
(configured so that only managers see it), but turn off comments for
everyone else. Any suggestions? Thanks. Using Plone 2.0.5.

david

p.s. maybe all these dumb questions will disappear after our may
training camp. :-)

Just as a guess maybe try :
ZMI | /portal_discussions
and try changing the permission from view to manage portal or manage
site or something.

DISCALIMER, I haven't tried this and am only taking a stab at how I
would try it. I have hosed more than one machine in my time... I would
recommend trying it on a test portal first...
