Dear ZPUGsters:
Our next meeting is Monday, March 7, at 7pm, at our usual location
deep within the confines of K Street.
We have two presentations:
- Matt Kromer, local Python/Zope guru and former Zope Corp engineer,
will present on "Python's types and classes". This will cover cool
things you can do by writing your own classes, overriding Python
built-ins, and such.
- Joel Burton, notorious Plone gadfly, will do a mini-presentation on
"Creating Archetypes Quickly using ArchGenXML". This covers how to
create Plone classes super-quickly using a product that converts UML
into complete Plone products. Good for building Archetypes in the
same meeting your client describes them. :)
I moved my ArchGenXML mini-prez from our 2nd meeting this month to the
first, since it looks like I'll be out of town for the 2nd meeting.
So, we now have an open slot for the mini-presentation at the Plone
meeting. Anyone doing anything cool with Zope/Plone? Discovered any
interesting products you want to tell others about? Let us know!
Full info at http://zpugdc.org/meetings/mtg16
Hope to see you there!
Best,
- j.

hi everyone,
I know I've brought this up before, but here goes again. It's very
difficult for me to attend a Monday evening meeting due to a conflict (
I paid for a class that meets on Monday evening - not related to
Plone). The last time I brought this up and suggested either Tues or
Wed., I don't recall getting any negatives. I would really like to
learn about ArchGenXML, but it will be very hard for me to come Monday.
Any chance we could move to the first Tuesday of the month? I would
greatly appreciate it.
David

I just put up a poll at:
http://zpugdc.org/polls/new_dates
If you'd like to see us move our Monday meetings to a different day,
please come and vote for those days that would work for you. You can
vote for as many days as you want.
If enough people express an interest, we can take the highest-vote-day
and go from there.
Unfortunately, our meeting next week is already confirmed, so--at
best--we're looking at a change for April, David. You can find some
information on ArchGenXML, though, at
http://plone.org/documentation/archetypes/archgenxml-manual.
