Does anyone have any experience moving data.fs from a Server (Zettai in
my case) to your Mac and getting it to work? I stopped the Plone site
on my Mac, moved the data.fs and data.fs.index files into the /var
directory and restarted the Plone site. I can't get to the ZMI. Says
"connection refused". Below is from the event log:
------

------
2005-02-16T18:18:23 INFO(0) Z2 Caught signal SIGTERM
------
2005-02-16T18:18:23 INFO(0) Z2 Shutting down fast

Thanks.

How are you moving from one place to another? Are you just sucking down
the file with FTP or something?
I'd suggest tar+(g|b)zipping, ssh'ing and decompressing with the shell
rather than Stuffit. Stuffit never quite works the way I expect it.
HTH! Tell us more if not.

I just downloaded both files. They were not that large and I did not
compress them first. Thanks.

Does it work the other direction? Mac to Zettai? (I don't know what I'm

When you say "downloaded" I get nervous; the most common case of ZODB
getting corrupted is by CRLF->NL translations from Unix to DOS filesystems
by a transfer that isnt binary.
I would definately recommend zipping the file first.
