Job opening for Jr. XML Filter Developer

As an XML Developer, you will be part of the team responsible for the design and implementation of a XML & SGML based electronic authoring and publishing applications. Our goal is to build a scaleable XML authoring and publishing framework and technology platform based on open standards and best of breed technologies. You will assist in implementing applications based on the architectural and design artifacts developed by the team lead and customer. Additionally, you will interface with user departments to gather and clarify requirements, develop, test and deploy code for production. Qualified candidates will possess at least 2 years of IT experience. Candidates must possess the following knowledge and skills: * A minimum of 1 year of experience in manipulating XML data using standards based APIs such as DOM or SAX * Experience with transformation technologies including XSLT * Knowledge of Web publishing technologies including both client-and server-side dynamic content including JavaScript, Servlets, and basic HTML * Must be able to pass government background investigation Downtown DC location.
